Today we're announcing a big improvement on how managers are defined within Primalogik. We're introducing a simplified way of defining managers that has three main benefits:

  • Setting the manager for each employee will be easier than before. You will be able to set/change the manager directly on the Edit User page.
  • You will be able to import and update your employees' manager using the spreadsheet import feature.
  • Manager information will flow seamlessly from BambooHR. This is a big plus for those using the integration!


A simplified way of defining managers


We're introducing a simplified way of defining the manager for each employee. To set the manager of an employee you simply need to select the appropriate person from the Manager list. That's it! Before this change, you'd need to do this in two steps (first create a Department and then assign a manager to that Department). Now you can accomplish the same in one single step.




Defining Managers builds your Org Chart


Behind the scenes, the app will take care of setting your org chart by defining Teams (formerly known as Departments).



As part of the rollout of this new feature, we're renaming Departments to Teams. However, the current way of defining managers through the Departments page does not go away. Existing clients will have the ability to define managers as the have in the past.

If you have a manager with multiple teams, turn on the advanced options and click "Add Team".

Existing clients, fear not! Nothing will change in your account. This new feature will simply be yet another way in which you can assign managers for your employees. Accessing reviews, goals, journal notes, etc. will remain exactly the same as it was before.
