Are free-text responses randomized?

Modified on Thu, Jul 12, 2018 at 3:00 PM

In free-text question responses, you will notice the submissions are recorded on a 360-report as "Response #1," "Response #2," etc. When there is more than one single free-text question, the system will automatically randomize the responses to further protect the anonymity of the respondents. For instance, "Response #1" in one question will, in the vast majority of instances, not be the same person as indicated as "Response #1" in the next question.

When a user has been granted the ability to identify respondents, the responses will not be randomized. This mechanism exists only when results are to be anonymous to the person viewing the report.
