Branding - Changing the application logo and color

Modified on Wed, Nov 29, 2023 at 11:16 PM

When users log in to Primalogik, the application displays the familiar toolbar at the top:

You can easily change the logo displayed on the left (and the color of the menu bar itself) with your own company logo so that it displays like this instead:

In order to do so, go to the Manage Account menu on your left menu bar. Once on the Manage Account page, make sure you're looking at the General Settings options where you will find Branding options.

To upload a new logo/icons, click on the Change button and follow the instructions. Note your icon file must be in PNG, JPEG or GIF format and the maximum image size supported is 270 by 60 pixels.

When changing your logo you may consider selecting a different color for the menu bar to make sure everything looks fine. To change the color just click on the Theme selector and pick the option that works best with your logo.

You will be able to see how the logo/color combination right away in the Preview area. Once you're happy with that combination, press Save Changes to make the changes visible to everyone.

Your logo will appear on every page throughout the application.

It will also be on any emails that go out (i.e. invitations, reminders, etc.)

Important note regarding image size

Please note that the image can't exceed 270 by 60 pixels in size which means you may need to resize your image before uploading it. The easiest way of resizing an image is by using a generic program like paint (in Windows) or preview (in Mac). Otherwise, if you're not familiar with those tools you may want to try online services like the one provided by http://www.picresize.com.

The next video shows how to use the tool to resize your image. Please note the part where we enter 60 as the pixel height of the new image. This will make sure the image still looks good and is resized appropriately.

Final note about caching

It is possible that after uploading your new image, there are no errors displayed and the image still shows the previous one. There is currently an issue with some browsers and how they handle changes in images and caching. Please allow some time (around 1 hour) to check again and see if the problem persists. If so, feel free to contact us at support@primalogik.com.
